In the evenings, I always like to double cleanse my skin. My texture preferences are an oil as my first cleanse and an exfoliating gel as my second cleanse so I was really excited to introduce Teoxane AHA Cleansing Gel as my new second cleanse!

I like using an AHA cleanser as a way to incorporate some mild, extra exfoliation into my routine. This cleansing gel has Glycolic Acid in which is a really effective acid to tackle fine lines, pigmentation, dullness, and uneven skin tone. It is also great for removing long wear make up (but not eye make up). 

It's really important to regularly exfoliate your skin to remove a build up of dead skin cells otherwise you can end up with congestion, dullness, uneven skin tone, and more. The benefit of doing so will reveal a clear, bright, smoother complexion and allow your products to penetrate better therefore working to their full potential. I would say cleansing is the most important part of your skincare routine! 

During my first use, the gel had a slightly iridescent colour and had a subtle sweet smell which I can only describe as almost like Palma Violets! I went on to apply it onto my face and I felt a really light tingle (which personally I don't mind) however the label on the back of the product did tell me this was normal to begin with and after a couple of uses it stopped and I've never felt it since. It never left my skin feeling dry or tight after using. Sometimes I apply it and leave it on, for no more than a minute, if I feel like my skin really needs it. 

Immediately my skin looked smoother and my pores appeared minimised. As with everyone at the moment, I have suffered from a few breakouts on my jawline due to wearing a mask and very quickly this cleanser helped to clear up any marks left behind.  After using this product for a little while, I have seen some really positive results. I will definitely continue to use this cleanser in the future!
