5 Ways To Top Up Your SPF On The Go

Discover different ways to refresh your sunscreen during the day which suits you, every single option works perfectly over make up too!

The one skincare advice that all skin professionals can agree on is the importance of sunscreen, every day. It is definitely the most essential step if you want to keep your complexion looking healthy, fresh, and damage-free long term. However, for it to be effective, it needs to be re-applied regularly – around every two hours. So, how are we supposed to reapply sunscreen over our makeup? Well, don’t worry, because the skincare industry has developed so many new, better technologies in recent years for easier application.

Realistically, reapplying sunscreen every two hours is a pretty high maintenance habit. But, when you consider that sun exposure causes the premature formation of fine lines, pigmentation, and the deconstruction of collagen that results in sagging skin, and not to mention skin cancer, it’s so worth it. In fact, 90% of how your skin ages are within your control and are directly linked to sun exposure, which is why it’s so important to keep it protected against harmful UVA and UVB rays.

For your first layer of protection, make sure you find a good sunscreen with a high factor and is broad-spectrum (provides both UVA & UVB protection). Apply two fingers worth of to your face, neck, and chest before you start applying your makeup. Now that you’ve got your base layer of SPF on, here’s how to reapply sunscreen once your makeup is on.....
